The MagnaRay MR-24 installs directly into your main water line, ensuring all water entering your home receives structured treatment. Installation requires connection to your 1" main water line, typically near where water enters your home. Professional installation by a licensed plumber is recommended. No maintenance or filter replacements are required as the unit works through passive mechanical means rather than filtration. Consult with a water treatment professional to determine the optimal installation location for your specific plumbing configuration.

Preparation: The Home unit is fitted with a 1-inch NPT fitting. If your pipe is a different size than your unit, make sure your plumber installs a reducer/adapter. 

Mounting: Your unit may be installed in either direction, vertically or horizontally. Ensure the piping is supported, deburred, and clean. The MR-24 comes with wall mount clamps due to extra weight and mounted 15 inches apart.

Location: It is recommended to install it inline after the water meter, after any filtration and before the water heater. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, as this could shorten its service life and potentially void the warranty. Use heat tape to wrap if exposed. 

Fittings: Install adapter fittings as necessary for the installation. We recommend MEGATAPE BRAND Grey Kevlar PTFE tape, wrapped 3-5 times, with a small amount of non-hardening sealer applied over the top of the tape. (We prefer MEGALOC BRAND) Both are widely available. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! If there are any leaks, undo the fittings and reapply the procedure. When properly done, it does not require more than 1/2 to 3/4 turn of tightening after hand-tightening.
